Orissa is home to many skilled artisans whose unique talents have been passed down from generation to generation.  Sadly, many of these artisans are living in extreme poverty, while still others have been forced to abandon their crafts to find other means of providing for their families.  Additionally, these rare art forms are at risk of being replaced by machine made replicas that lack the distinctive beauty and individuality of handcrafted items.    

The Jena Foundation is proud to help support filigree artisans from Cuttack and appliqué artisans from Pipili by finding markets for their handiworks.  We are always looking for shops and other venues where these items can be marketed and sold.  Please contact us if you are interested in finding out how to purchase these items or if you can provide a retail  outlet for these exquisite goods.
